This is the course blog for LIS 9763: Social Software and Libraries (formerly LIS 757), a graduate course offered during the Summer 2008 term through the Faculty of Information and Media Studies at the University of Western Ontario. The course is taught through distance education and uses a grab-bag of social tools (like blogs, RSS, social bookmarking, etc.) as its mode of delivery and communication.

My name is Amanda Etches-Johnson and I am the course instructor. I am also the User Experience Librarian at McMaster University Library, a frequent speaker and writer on emerging technologies, and an all-around tech geek. My regular blogging venue is blogwithoutalibrary.net.
