Blog Case Studies
I liked the Georgia State subject area blogs (although on first glance it's difficult to see how they organized it), and I was thinking of the potential of libraries using blogs to evaluate their materials. I can see that this idea might sound disastrous because it might solicit negative feedback that would harm the reputation of the library.
Librarians & Media Literacy
I found the article about media literacy by Henry Jenkins very interesting. I think that librarians have an important role in this type of education because it ties in with information literacy. I'm taking the Instructional Strategies course this semester, and I will be thinking of ways that media literacy can be integrated into learning about information literacy (if it isn't already).
Introduction
Hi everyone,
I had the opportunity to work with wikis and blogs during my last two co-op terms in a government library and I'm looking forward to learning about social softwares. Before my co-op I didn't have any experience with the topic, so I know from experience that the best way to learn about it is to jump in and get your feet wet!
