Welcome to week 7! This week we begin our exploration of
social bookmarking and tagging. Since we’ve all been contributing content to the "lis9763" tag in del.icio.us since week 1, this week we’re going to reflect on how the process of distributed research via social bookmarking has been working for us. Additionally, we’ll begin our discussion of how tagging and social bookmarking tools might be used in a library setting. All content for week 7 is here.

A couple of reminders for this week:

  • Our chat this week is on Thursday, June 19 at 8 pm. We're meeting in this room.
  • I sent out the last of the Blog Progress Reports by the end of the day, Friday. If you didn't receive yours or if you have any questions, let me know.
  • Proposals are due at the end of this week (Friday, June 20). If you could send me your proposals by the end of the day (say, midnight to keep it simple), that would be great. The syllabus says 9 am, but I won't get to them until the end of the day anyway, so you might as well have Friday to work on them!
  • Please email your proposals to me as an attachment in one of the following file formats: .doc, .txt, .rtf.

Have a great week, everyone!
