Welcome to week 1 of LIS 9763: Social Software and Libraries!

The purpose of this course is to explore social software
applications within the context of library services. Two central
questions we'll address over the course of the term are:

• does social software have a place in library service provision?
• what social software applications can be harnessed by information organizations?

We have a lot of stuf to cover this week, so you can get started by checking out the readings and activities for the week on this page.
