I really enjoyed all the spirited discussion around social networks on your blogs last week! Hopefully you'll find this week's content similarly engaging, as this week, we turn our attention to gaming & virtual worlds. Digital gaming & virtual worlds are currently having a substantial impact on education and libraries, so our goal for
this week is to explore their significance to the digital learning landscape and think about the affordances of gaming and virtual worlds to library services, information literacy, and e-learning. All readings and case studies for this week are right here. Note that I just added another activity to the list (optional), so check out the updated page.

2 quick reminders for this week:

  • Final projects are due in just over 3 weeks (midnight, Wednesday, August 6th). Hope you guys are enjoying working on your papers/projects, let me know if there's anything I can do to help!
  • Our chat this week is on Thursday, July 17th Wednesday, July 16th at 8 pm. We'll meet in this room.

Looking forward to reading everyone's thoughts about gaming & virtual worlds in libraries. Have a great week, everyone!
