Week 13: Best Practices & Evaluation
Welcome to Week 13!
During these final two weeks (I can’t believe we only have 2 weeks left!), we’re focusing on evaluation, best practices and a couple of wrap-up activities. As you’ve probably noticed from the reading page for this week and next, I haven’t assigned specific readings, and the reason for that is that I’d like you to focus your energies on synthesizing your thoughts on the utility of the tools we’ve looked at throughout the course, as well as compiling a list of best practices for the use of social software in libraries (based on the readings we’ve done, as well as your own ideas). Check out the readings page for more details.
Some reminders for this week:
- I know you’re all busy with your final projects, as well as working on this week’s activities, so there is no blogging deadline this week. Blog (and comment) when you can!
- Final papers are due in a week and a half (by midnight, Wednesday, August 6th). I hope you are all doing OK on your final projects; feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or concerns.
- You should be receiving course evaluations soon (if you haven't already). Please take the time to complete the evaluation, I really appreciate your opinions and feedback. I try to do what I can to make changes to the course based on your experience and incorporate your suggestions where possible, so please send them in!
- The class chat this week is on Thursday, July 31 at 8 pm. We'll be meeting in this chat room.
