Hey all,I hope I'm fashionably, rather than embarrassingly late on my introduction... Anyhow my name is Grant O'Grady, I'm back in London after two coop terms in Ottawa and am a little slow getting back into the swing of things, my internet is up now so I'm rolling and will aim to be more on the ball from here on in. As to this course I'm operating more under the principle of knowing my enemy. I'm terribly suspect of social software, both from a social perspective and from a privacy perspective.

Hi all,
My name is Chris and I am currently in my 7th part-time term in the MLIS program. My only blogging experience comes from setting one up for a course last year as part of a project, though I do read some blogs on a daily basis (mostly sports-related ones). I hope to get a grip on some of the vast technologies available to libraries throughout the course of this course, and maybe even start blogging on my own. Finally, I have been somewhat sleep-deprived lately, as my wife and I recently welcomed our firstborn, a boy, 6 weeks ago.

Hi Everyone, All of this social software stuff is pretty new to me. I used some staff blogs and wikis during my co-op, and got to sit in on some information sessions about possibilities for a more 2.0-like catalogue, which was great. Social software was big at my academic library, and I suspect at most other libraries too, so I’m hoping to get caught up by taking this course. So far, I’ve not gotten much further than an underused Facebook account.
