introductions

Hi Everyone

Well for introductions, I'm in my last term of the program, with this being my last course as well. I haven't had a great deal of experience with social software but it is something that i'm interestedf in and want to learn more about.

I have had some experience with blogging in a previous FIMS course, but very marginally . I am looking forward to becoming more comfortable with this technology through this course.

I guess this is my big "hello" blog entry. To tell you all a little about myself, this is my final FIMS course and I'm currently working full-time in Ottawa at a strategic consulting firm as an Information Management Consultant.

Ottawa is a great city and I plan to be here for a long time to come.

Well, as I have read in other classmates' first blog entries, I'm also marginally familiar with Web 2.0 technology and phenomena and definitely interested in learning much more.

Hi everyone,

I just finished up my second term of co-op in Toronto and I'm continuing in my position on contract until the end of the summer. I'm working in a special library in a non-profit organization - taking this course couldn't have come at a better time as we are in the (very) early stages of experimenting with a wiki for use in my department at work!

Hello everyone! I'm on a co-op term in Ottawa this summer and hope that this course will lend me a hand at work. One of my projects this summer is to help develop a wiki for this particular library and I don't have much experience with the majority of social software.

I'm afraid to admit that social software is largely new territory for me. This is my first blog ever and all of the tools that we will be learning about in 9763 are pretty much new to me -- especially the creation aspect to this software.
